Indeed when I read this “losing weight and getting fit are probably the most common and hardest resolutions to keep”, I cannot help but agree. How many people make this a part of their resolution each year for many years already. I wonder how many of those people have achieved and fulfilled their resolution.
It is not easy when you love food and eating. Lately for example, just to encourage the little kid to keep on eating veggies – squash plus diced carrots and potatoes for now, I have to eat too with him even if at times it means I have to eat again since I try to eat before six or seven in the evening. I may have lost weight last year, but I still have to lose lot more in order for me to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and body built.
I had friends who had skipped eating rice since the year started. I tried to but just cannot do without rice the whole day. So I started yesterday with at least half cup of rice each day. It ain’t easy when you are so used to eating rice and when the husband invites me to eat more rice! Cutting on rice made me eat more other carbo substitute which is not good. I may just have to burn more through exercise even if it means one minute exercise every now and then each day.
I want to do one sport or at least walking each day and work it our from there if I can proceed to running. There were many fun runs last year which makes me kind of jealous at the same time motivated to get fit once again so I can join those fun activities in the city. I wish myself the best of luck this year in losing weight and getting fit.
