Better Eyesight

I wish I can eat spinach not just hoping to have superhuman strength like Popeye the Sailor man but to have better eyesight. Yes spinach is said to be a good source of vitamin A as well as lutein, both of which are known to protect our eyes.

Then there is also the avocado, my favorite fruit since I was young since my parents have trees in our vacant lot next to our house. Every summer, there would be lots of supply of avocados in our house. We give our neighbors who would be happy to anticipate getting share of our little harvest. I love most the variety that has a very creamy flesh. It is the most delicious! When I was young aside from avocado, I was also very much into eating squash which is also rich in vitamin A that is good for the eyes. Maybe that is why we don’t wear glasses till college even if we were really avid readers.

Take note too that avocados are known to have healthy fats that our body needs to stay healthy! So eat spinach, avocado and squash as part of your daily diet so you’d have better eyesight. Right dear husby?

Don’t Be Cranky

I know there are moms and women like me who do get their episodes of crankiness when they have their monthly visitor. Don’t be cranky anymore as from what I have read you can lessen the chances of being cranky by taking in more calcium into your diet.

You may opt for more broccoli which is said to one where we can easily get and absorb calcium in out diet, or eat more eggs one of the best sources of Vitamin D. You can also go for regular exercise and look for other sources of more Vitamin D.

Emergency or Contigency Fund

It is important for a couple to have a contingency fund because we all know anything can happen in the future being indefinite. It is always best to be financially prepared. It is safe to have at least a fund equal to six months worth of your household expenses.

This contingency or emergency fund which other may call it can be used in case of emergency expenses that we cannot expect or in case of any member of the family being hospitalized. Moms and dads can put this into a particular bank account reserved for any emergency.
